About Out Of The Cold
Out of the Cold: Centre County is a low-barrier shelter open from 8 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. every night. During the 2020-2021 season, 17 congregations helped to provide overnight shelter for 175 guests. Our host sites rotates every two weeks. Each evening our guests are welcomed warmly, served a hot meal, given a cot, warm blankets, and a place to sleep. Breakfast is served in the morning and before leaving guests can register to return that evening.
